Caleb and I met in 2009, it was love at first sight...for him and I came around a week later. We were married 5 short months later and have been blessed with 4 crazy/beautiful children. If we've learned anything in those years it would be that LAUGHTER is the best couples therapy. We love sharing ways to have fun and create memories with your families. Thank you for being here and your continued support. We hope we can add a little joy to your day!
- Caleb & Kelsi
Wuv… tuuewww Wuv. Kelsi’s uncle earlier today asked, “If you could go back and re-live one day which would it be?” The first thing that came to my mind was my wedding day. With so much going on it was hard to take it all in (that’s what she said). In all seriousness, I would love to go back and just experience that day one more time. Our first few years of marriage we were lucky enough to spend valentines day in Mexico, soaking up the sun. Ever since I started coaching basketball it has made it difficult to leave during the winter months, but that’s ok. With Valentines Day just around the corner I wondered what could we do to celebrate our love? Here are my top 5 ideas in no particular order.
1- Dinner and a Movie. Honestly one of my favorite things to do is go to the movies with just me and Kelsi. Watching an entire movie without having to take kids to the bathroom during the climax or sprinting out the door to fill up an empty bag of popcorn is pure bliss.
2- Bust out the Couples Adventure Challenge. Let the book do its job and let it decide for you. This is perfect for men. Makes us look like we are trying when really all we are doing is scratching off a little piece of paper and doing what it tells us to. Let’s be honest, we all need a little help every now and again.
3- Feeling brave? Harness your inner Chris Marcum and cook her dinner. If it’s your first time do something you’re comfortable with. They don’t call you the grill master for nothing. Don’t try and get too fancy. Nothing will mess up the mood like burnt food. I might put that on a T-shirt. You heard it here first.
4- Overnighter. Have you ever done a mini staycation at your local Marriott? It’s actually quite relaxing. Drop the kids off with grandma and treat yourselves to hotel motel holiday inn. Bonus points if there is free breakfast.
5- The Target date. Your wife loves target almost as much as she loves you. Just kidding… but it’s close. This one takes a little bit more planning but it will pay off in the end…. if you know what I mean. Grab a couple crips bills (whatever fits in the budget), throw on the blindfold and take her to her happy place. On 3 pieces of paper write the following. 1- Something that reminds me of you is.. 2- You’re favorite treat is..3- Something I think you really need is.. You each have 15 minutes to shop for the other person.
Marriage is great isn’t it? Marriage is hard isn’t it? All marriages take work. And lots of it. One piece of advice. Have fun with your significant other. Think back to when you were dating. Do you treat each other the same? Do you have as much fun? Are you “trying as hard” to keep each other interested? Speaking to the men I think too often in marriage we can get complacent and think because we put a ring on it our work is done. False. Putting a ring on it means you promise to put the work in. Lets all get to work. Have a great love month and a SMOOOOOOTH week.
